Tessera is a prototype of a learning management system (LMS) for higher education and industry. It hosts courses and includes a simplified authoring tool that drafts modular content from natural language, files, and existing material, customizable for many kinds of learners. The design borrows Canvas’s predictable, module-first structure and adds an AI layer that drafts for authors, tutors learners with hints, and never publishes anything a person hasn’t reviewed.
“Tessera” is a working codename. It refers to the tiles of a mosaic: modular blocks that compose into a course. All people, institutions, courses, and numbers in the prototype are fictional.
